It's all good

THE HOUSE-MOVING IS COMPLETE. So much for "amazing TV reception"; there's no reception there at all! I'm going to have to pay an aerial man to hook up the old Sky dish outside into my room. I bet that will cost £50. If not more. My ground floor window remains unlocked with no key. So any Tom Dick or Harry could break in. And it's raining (very lightly). If you're wondering why all the negatives it's because those are all there are; everything else is positive. I'm in a really good mood. The doctor said there's no infection at all left in my ear. So no more dodgy sprays. I've had an assessment down the druggieclinic, which is only 10 minutes walk from me. I see a doctor in there in a fortnight. For that I need two proofs of address and I haven't even signed a contract. Anyway, when this is all over, my break with the London borough of Crudsville will hopefully be lifelong and complete. Viva Las Vegas!

PS I'm thinking of going on Subutex.

I'm just round the corner from the Dark House where many moons ago I got moved from one pit of despair to another. There's a Chinese takeaway on the corner that is particularly industrial ~ MSG with fried rice. Maybe I'll indulge for old times' sake...

  1. The house move sounds a real positive... great news...

hmmm - I should blog about pissing around having to manually tune my freeview boxes we are last area to get full digital switchover - we've had Freeview for years never a problem, now I'm supposedly living in Norfolk given the channels I get by default and everyone looks like they are hiding their identity as so much of the picture is pixelated... the football looked like a bunch of lego men... Had to look up the local frequencies and manually tune it all!

  2. My friend lives in a mental health supported housing thing. They paid £500 to get all 5 bedrooms aerialed up and Pick TV still came out completely pixxelated, which was particularly inconvenient as we both like the one about people getting done for bringing Asian vegetables into Australia...

  3. Good, good, good.
. . . I just paid extra on Virgin media for another 65 channels on top of freeview . . . 65 channels of crap! I got it for the kids and they've not used it yet.
Even when the windows are locked any Tom, Dick or Harry could break in . . . No offense but they usually check out places that have lots of expensive stuff worth taking; I never worry about the house getting broken into, even with 3 laptops and 3 flat screens . . . they look for signs of wealth . . . Like lightshades ;-) and maybe a nice car outside!
Anyway, glad your ear is OK and all is well.
Hey, here's a thought . . . You say you're on the groumnd floor and I presume you were upstairs at your old place . . . Now, if you close your eyes or curtains (?) and close your ears or ear . . . Do you think you can tell the difference. ie. Could you tell, if someone took you in your sleep and put you in a room, if the room was ground floor or not? . . . something I've often thought about. What say you? x

  4. I feel really weird living on the ground floor. I have to say that garden access aside, I wouldn't choose the ground level; I'd go for the very top to be as far away from the street as possible. Plus you get way better television reception!!

I DO feel different being on the ground... it's very difficult to say how. So I say yes I WOULD notice. Might not know what was going on, but would notice I felt different, I'm sure...

Hey at least if I have another hyper episode I don't have to worry about my constant wandering around in the night and dancing about to loud music bothering anyone ;-)
